About this site
Who runs ShredDead Guide, which sources every number comes from, how the site handles corrections, and the fan-project disclaimer in plain words.
ShredDead Guide is an independent fan site about ShredDead, the incremental zombie game by Weird Penguin Games. It is not affiliated with the developer, the publisher or Valve, and nobody here has access to the game's source or internal balance sheets.
Where the numbers come from
Every figure on the site traces back to one of four places, and each page states which one it used:
- Steam's own APIs for price, discount window, release date, platforms, supported languages, feature list, achievement names and the global completion percentages behind them.
- The store page and its media, including the five official screenshots, the launch trailer and the four gameplay clips embedded in the description, for anything that describes what the interface looks like.
- The Steam discussion board, where players post play times, prestige results and bug reports. Those are labelled as player reports wherever they appear.
- Achievement descriptions, which spell out the milestones the game itself tracks: five waves, 100,000 kills, a full inventory of Legendary items.
When none of those give a number, the page says so by omission. There is no official upgrade cost table, so this site documents which currency gates which part of the tree instead of printing invented prices.
How corrections work
If a number is wrong, the page is wrong and it gets fixed. Send the page address and the source that contradicts it to the address on the contact page. Anything that changes between patches is stamped with the date it was last checked, and the game build it was checked against, at the top of the page.
Why the site looks like this
The layout borrows the game's own language: asphalt and steel plates, hazard tape, the red half of the wordmark. The goal is that clicking from the game to this site does not feel like leaving.
What this site will not do
It will not publish a fake cost table to fill space, rank builds by invented damage numbers, or claim to have tested something it has not. It also will not ask you to sign up for anything.
